Book Selection Committee
The PPGS Book Selection Committee meets twice a year online via Zoom. The next Zoom meeting will be 9:30 a.m., Mountain Time, Aug. 29, 2022. The members select books to be purchased by PPGS for the Pikes Peak Library District's genealogy collection in Special Collections. The purchases are funded by PPGS dues and donations.
If you have a title to suggest, please contact the member responsible for that state or the committee chair, Jan Myers. Please provide title, author, publisher, price, ISBN (if possible), and where to buy the book (genealogy societies, publishers, Amazon, etc.). The committee does not purchase books on the history of one family or surname or books in languages other than English. Due to space limitations, we generally do not purchase genealogy books on foreign countries other than Canada.
Here's a book request form you can print, fill out, and send to the appropriate commitee member (emails are fine too): Book Suggestion Form
