When the family gathers for the holidays, the stories are right there at the table. In this warm, interactive talk on Zoom, Dave Bouchard of Root & Quill shares the questions that bring out real stories from parents and grandparents, why a recipe card can open a door a question can't, and how to record at a gathering without making it awkward. There's a quick poll, a myth-or-fact game in the chat, and a family mystery solved with an old recipe card. Bring a family dish with a story. Everyone receives a printable set of Holiday Table Question cards after the talk.

Dave Bouchard writes researched family histories at Root & Quill in Granby, Connecticut. He traces families in the original records and turns them into hardcover books with every fact cited. He gives talks for libraries and historical and genealogical societies.
