Records Search features data from the PPGS Cemetery Indexing Project (1996-2001), which indexed all known cemeteries and burial sites in El Paso and Teller counties, Colorado, except for Shrine of Remembrance, which did not grant permission. Since then, Pikes Peak National Cemetery and a few other interment sites have been added to El Paso County but are not in this database.
Records Search can include many kinds of indexed records in one place. We will add more indexed records from the Pikes Peak region.
From Data Sets, select the desired data set or search on all. Currently, only Cemetery Records are here. Filter searches by Given Names, Last Name, and/or Date (which pick up from both birth and death date fields). Click the search icon (magnifying glass). The location field search doesn't work with the cemetery data.
If you find a record of interest, click on the eyeball icon to see full information. Click on the cemetery name in blue to see information about the burial site. The cemetery page shows the cut-off date for PPGS data. Also, PPGS has cemetery maps and other information we plan to add to this website. Questions? Contact webmaster@ppgs.org.
If you don't find someone, it may be that the burial was after the indexing project cut-off date. Check www.findagrave.com for additional records and photos. (But you knew that.)
In the Cemetery database Notes field, U: abbreviates "undertaker."
